3-Day Couples Intensives in Mooresville, NC

So, what's a couples intensive actually like?

Basically, you get three days to put everything else on the back burner and focus on the two of you. No rushing out the door after an hour. No waiting until next Tuesday to pick the conversation back up. We have time to slow things down, talk about what's really going on, try some things differently, and actually practice what we're working on.

Some couples come in because they're stuck and tired of having the same argument over and over. Others aren't in a bad place at all. They just want to get ahead of problems, reconnect, or give their relationship some attention before life gets in the way again.

Three days. A lot of focused time. And hopefully, a whole lot less "we'll deal with that later."

A three-day intensive might be a great fit if:

  • You keep having the same argument and can't seem to get anywhere

  • You love each other, but lately it feels like you're more roommates than partners

  • There's something you've been putting off talking about and you're finally ready to deal with it

  • You want to work on a specific issue without dragging it out for months

  • Your relationship is pretty good and you'd like to make it even better

  • Your schedules are nuts, one or both of you travel a lot, or getting to weekly appointments is just a pain

  • You're getting married and want to start your marriage on solid footing

  • You'd rather spend three focused days working on your relationship than six months trying to find a time that works

You don't have to be in crisis. You just have to want to make your relationship better.

What happens during the intensive

No two relationships are exactly alike, so your intensive isn't going to be exactly like everyone else's.

We'll start with a 30–60 minute phone consultation to talk about your relationship, what brings you in, and whether an intensive feels like the right fit. If you decide to move forward, I'll send you a detailed questionnaire to complete before we meet. I'll review everything beforehand so we can use our three days wisely and focus on what matters most to you as a couple.

Over the three days, we'll work on things like:

  • Communication and conflict

  • Connection and intimacy

  • Trust and recurring patterns

  • Expectations, roles, finances, and other real-life relationship stuff

  • Future goals and the kind of relationship you want to build

  • Practical tools and exercises you can actually use together

You'll have some time individually with me as well as plenty of time to work together as a couple. We'll talk, practice, work through things, and I'll give you a few things to work on between days so you can see what works for you at home.

The goal isn't to cram three days full of serious conversations.

There's room for laughter, fun, and remembering why you like each other in the first place.

We'll wrap up with a plan for keeping the momentum going after you leave, plus a follow-up session about six weeks later.

What's included

Your three days include more than just time in the room together. Everything is designed around your relationship and the things you want to work on.

  • 18 hours of focused work over three days

  • A personalized questionnaire and assessment completed before the intensive

  • Individual time with each partner so I can get to know you both as individuals

  • A personalized workbook that we'll use throughout the intensive and you'll take home with you

  • Practical exercises and tools you can continue using together

  • Things to work on between days to keep the conversation and progress going

  • Additional resources and worksheets included in the back of your workbook

  • A one-hour follow-up session about six weeks after the intensive

Investment

A three-day couples intensive is $3,500 for weekday dates or $4,500 when weekend days are included.

Your investment provides for 18 hours of focused time together, personalized preparation before we even meet, individual time with each of you, a workbook you'll actually keep, and a follow-up session six weeks later. More importantly, you aren't trying to squeeze all of that into one hour a week and hoping you don't lose your momentum.

Half is due when you book, and the remaining balance is due 24–48 hours before we begin.

Intensives are available in person or virtually. We can talk through the best setup for you during your consultation.

Intensives are not billed to insurance.

Ready to get started?

If you're wondering whether a three-day couples intensive is the right fit for you, let's talk.

Schedule a consultation so we can talk about what's going on, what you're hoping to accomplish, and whether an intensive makes sense for your relationship.

An intensive isn't the right fit for every couple

A three-day intensive isn't going to be the best fit for every couple, and that's okay.

An intensive may not be appropriate when there is active domestic violence or coercive control, serious safety concerns, active substance abuse or when one or both partners aren't willing to participate honestly and work together. There are also times when individual therapy or another level of care makes more sense.
